GTA6 Pre-Order Guide: Editions, Pricing & Where to Buy

Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI went live worldwide on June 25, 2026 at midnight local time. This guide covers everything you need to know about editions, pricing, bonuses, preload dates, and where to safely pre-order GTA6.

Editions & Pricing

Two editions of GTA6 are available for pre-order:

  • Standard Edition — $79.99 — Includes the full single-player experience. Available on PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Rockstar Store, and authorized retailers.
  • Ultimate Edition — $99.99 — Includes premium vehicles, weapons, and apparel threaded across the story. Also includes the Vintage Vice City Pack.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick reported that pre-order numbers are "unprecedented and astonishing," with more players opting for the $100 Ultimate Edition than expected. Pre-orders have hit record levels for Take-Two Interactive.

Pre-Order Bonuses

All pre-orders and purchases made before November 20, 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack — a collection of items inspired by the original 2002 Vice City game. This bonus includes:

  • Vintage Vice City themed vehicle skins
  • Retro-inspired weapon cosmetics
  • Classic Vice City character outfits

Additionally, digital pre-orders on the PlayStation Store include a free month of GTA+ membership.

Where to Pre-Order

GTA6 is available for pre-order through the following authorized channels:

  • PlayStation Store — Digital download for PS5
  • Xbox Store — Digital download for Xbox Series X|S
  • Rockstar Store — Digital download, platform choice at checkout
  • Amazon — Physical copy or digital code
  • GameStop — Physical copy or digital code
  • Best Buy — Physical copy or digital code

Physical copies contain a download code inside the box rather than a disc, for both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This means even physical purchasers will need to download the game.

Pre-Load Dates

Digital pre-orders can begin pre-loading on November 12, 2026 — one week before launch. This allows players to download the game in advance so it is ready to play at midnight on November 19.

The game is expected to be a large download (estimated 100-150 GB based on the scope of the open world), so pre-loading is strongly recommended.

Warning: Fake Pre-Order Sites

Rockstar has issued a formal advisory warning against fake pre-order sites. Scammers are creating convincing-looking storefronts to steal payment information. Only pre-order through:

  • The official PlayStation Store on your console or PlayStation.com
  • The official Xbox Store on your console or Xbox.com
  • The Rockstar Store at rockstargames.com
  • Authorized retailers: Amazon, GameStop, Best Buy

If a site offers GTA6 at a significant discount or claims to have "early access," it is almost certainly a scam. Rockstar has not authorized any discounts or early access programs.

Release Date & Platforms

GTA6 launches on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There are no PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch versions. A PC version has not been officially announced but is expected within 12-18 months after the console release.
